Immobilizer & Anti-Theft Diagnostics

Advanced Automotive Solutions

Your vehicle cranks but won't start. The anti-theft or security light is on. These are classic signs of an immobilizer or key-system fault — and they require specialized diagnostic equipment that most shops don't have. Auto Pro Tune specializes in exactly this, serving all makes and models — foreign and domestic.

AUTO PRO TUNE SPECIALIZES IN ALL MAKES AND MODELS — FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC.

American, Asian, and European vehicles. Compatibility depends on year, make, model, configuration, software access, and the requested service.

What We Diagnose

Immobilizer Systems That Prevent Starting

Vehicle immobilizers are factory-installed anti-theft systems that disable fuel injection or ignition unless the correct programmed key is recognized. When the immobilizer malfunctions — due to a bad key, a failed module, incorrect programming, or communication errors — the vehicle will crank but not start.

Many shops misdiagnose this as a fuel or spark problem. The correct diagnosis requires a scan tool capable of reading immobilizer and BCM/PCM data — not just generic OBD-II codes.

Complex immobilizer cases — including module replacement, synchronization after a swap, and advanced security-system reprogramming — are primarily performed at our Talladega shop where our full diagnostic and programming equipment is available. Qualifying diagnostic and key-programming mobile appointments may be available depending on your vehicle and situation.

Advanced diagnostics, electrical work, and mechanical repair are performed at our Talladega shop. Qualifying module programming and automotive key services are available through mobile appointments.

Automotive key and locksmith services are available through qualifying mobile appointments and at the Auto Pro Tune shop by appointment. All makes and models — foreign and domestic automotive locksmith services.
