When you have a working key, adding a new one is straightforward — the existing key authenticates to the system. When all keys are lost, the immobilizer has no known key to verify against. Creating a new key requires specialized programming equipment that can communicate directly with the vehicle's immobilizer module to register a fresh key from scratch.
Most general repair shops do not have this capability and will send you to the dealer — which typically means a tow and a long wait. Auto Pro Tune brings that capability through qualifying mobile appointments and at our Talladega shop.

What to Do When All Keys Are Lost
Do not tow immediately
Before paying for a dealer tow, call or text us. Depending on your vehicle and location, we may be able to service it at our shop or through a qualifying mobile appointment.
Have your vehicle information ready
Year, make, and model — and VIN if available. This allows us to verify compatibility before scheduling.
Have proof of ownership available
Vehicle title or registration and a valid government-issued photo ID will be required before work begins.
We get your vehicle handled
We perform the all-keys-lost programming at our Talladega shop or through a qualifying mobile appointment, depending on your vehicle and situation.
Ownership & ID Required — No Exceptions
Due to the security-sensitive nature of all-keys-lost programming, proof of vehicle ownership (title or registration) and valid government-issued photo identification are required before any work is performed. This requirement protects vehicle owners and is non-negotiable.

Do not give up on getting the right help because of distance. Local and long-distance vehicle transportation may be available to bring qualifying vehicles to Auto Pro Tune.
